CHOOSING PUPHUBNOW

100% of PupHubNow ingredients come from the USA, including our vitamins and minerals.

Our focus is on finding the highest quality PupHubNow ingredients out there. While our foods are not organic, they are all-natural, antibiotic and preservative free.

Yes, we make PupHubNow with only all-natural ingredients. Our recipes also never contain any artificial or chemical preservatives, BHA, propylene glycol, flavors, or colors commonly found in traditional dry, canned and semi-moist pet food.

All PupHubNow  poultry and meat ingredients are sourced from USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)  registered suppliers who follow all USDA regulations for safe handling.

PupHubNow only uses USDA approved meats that are 100% human grade and intended for human consumption.   These meats are held to a higher quality standard, have never been pre-processed, are more nutrient dense and easier for our pets to digest. We also choose to never use any “chicken meal” or “meat meals.” Meat meals can include varying types and qualities of meat and waste products, are highly processed, and can have a shelf life longer than a year.

PRODUCT USAGE

Gradually transition your pup to new food over a period of 5 – 7 days. Start by adding 25% PupHubNow to 75% of your existing food.  Then, increase PupHubNow food to 50%, then 75%, until you arrive at 100% PupHubNow food at the end of the time period.

When you receive your kit, contents should feel cool. If you plan to cook your meal within 2 days, store food packages in the refrigerator. Supplements may be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator. If you do not plan to cook your meal within 2 days, store food packages in the freezer. Frozen meals may be defrosted in the refrigerator prior to cooking. Be aware that you may see a slight change in color and texture when thawed, but this won’t change the nutritional value or taste of our meals.

Supplements should be stirred into your meal upon the completion of cooking. That way, your supplements will not reduce during the cooking process.

Meals may be stored in air-tight containers in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. Portions that cannot be utilized within 3 days should be stored in your freezer.

Meal kits, whether they have been cooked or not, may be stored in your freezer and frozen for up to 3 months.

Supplements should be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator and should be used within 6 months to ensure potency.

PupHubNow treats are 100% Human Grade Ingredients, all natural, gluten-free, with no added soy, sugars, sodium, preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors. To ensure freshness, refrigerate or freeze any unused portion after 14 days for up to 1 month.

PUPHUBNOW NUTRITION

PupHubNow foods are 100% complete and balanced and exceed AAFCO’s minimum standards for canine nutrition. PupHubNow treats are made of high quality meats, vegetables and fruits, but may not contain all the essential vitamins and minerals dogs need as a primary source of food.  To ensure your pet is getting all the nutrition he requires, feed our Meal Kits, complete and balanced for a healthy adult maintenance diet.

PupHubNow refrigerated food is high in animal protein, so you can expect our food to have the same moisture content as fresh, human-grade meats. 70-75% moisture is the natural state of fresh meat. Chicken breast meat contains 74.6% moisture, and fresh turkey meat contains 75.8%. (Reference: USDA database)

A “Guaranteed Analysis” is used to put a value on four categories in your pet’s food:  protein, fat, fiber, and moisture.  However, this analysis doesn’t consider the water content of your pet’s food which can be a little misleading.  The Food and Drug Administration validates this on their website by stating “To make meaningful comparisons of nutrient levels between a canned (or fresh) and dry product, they should be expressed on the same moisture basis.

To determine the amount of protein on a dry matter basis:

Subtract the moisture percentage from 100% to determine the dry matter percentage
Divide the protein percentage by the percent of dry matter percentage
Multiply by 100

For a simple example, a food with 10% protein and 75% moisture is within the range of PupHubNow foods:

100% – 75% moisture = 25% dry matter
10% Protein /25% dry Matter = .4
.4 x 100 = 40% dry matter protein content
This same formula can be used to determine the dry matter fat and fiber contents.

PupHubNow Meal Kits are designed for an Adult Maintenance Diet.  PupHubNow is not appropriate for puppies.  Also, for pets that have pancreatic problems or compromised renal function (i.e. kidney), high protein diets made from meat and fish should be avoided. If your pet suffers from these conditions, consult your veterinarian to determine if PupHubNow is appropriate.
